The Sunfrost Story

Sunfrost had its beginnings in the year 2000 when the Sunfrost company founders, Lance and Anne Robinson, identified an unfulfilled niche in the frozen confectionery market for a healthy nutritious all fruit frozen confection.

Throughout 2001 and 2002, design briefs, drawings, and formulations were conceived that are innovative and original. Prototypes were built and trialled and the first steps towards brand building were undertaken.

From 2002 through to 2006, Sunfrost commercial production machines were built and trialled, along with further new product development to enable Sunfrost to be fully market tested.

The company’s initial awareness of strong worldwide demand for this type of product, due to increasing concerns in all markets about health and wellness issues, has culminated with strong international interest in the Sunfrost innovative technology and product. Sunfrost is now “market ready” and able to fulfil its goals to deliver a high integrity, healthy and nutritious, guilt free, frozen confection to the consumer.

Sunfrost has had excellent support from ENZAFOODS New Zealand Limited (a major fruit processing company in New Zealand and a member of the Turners and Growers Group) in late 2007 to provide services in product manufacture, food technology, new product development and international infrastructure. Their expertise in food technology will enable the development of new and exciting flavours and speed up our launch onto the world stage.
